P405 – Management of Asbestos in Buildings

This course is aimed at the Client who is responsible for managing asbestos within buildings and the Principal Contractor responsible for managing construction projects.

The course will provide a practical guide to the current Legislation, HSE guidance and ACOP’s to enable the individual to reduce the risks to employees and occupants from asbestos containing materials within their buildings or construction sites under their control.

The course will provide the delegate with the knowledge to manage asbestos from the inception stage through to completion from identifying they have asbestos issues to deal with, to appointing the surveyor, carrying out an assessment, to appointing the asbestos removal contractor through to completion of the works.

Each delegate will be assessed by the use of a written assessment and examination at the end of the course

Asbestos Training Limited have developed an alternative for clients who are looking to obtain the Management of Asbestos In Buildings Certificate. We have scheduled dates where we can offer clients access to this alternative training, with the same aim of understanding the responsibilities of managing asbestos in buildings and contractors carrying out works on site.

We are the ONLY company in the UK able to offer open P405 courses, which are not managed by BOHS.

Asbestos Training Limited are independently audited to ensure we deliver the training in accordance with CAR 2012, ACoP L143, HSG 247, HSG 264 this gives you the confidence that the training we deliver and the assessments meet the needs of the delegates.

Are there additional examination fees...?

No, the cost for the course includes all internal assessments and examination fees. The examinations are independently assessed and marked, ensuring the delegate receives a genuine robust and independent assessment.
